About Us
Bilingual Futures was started as a Research organization at the University of Washington with the primary purpose of exploring equitable and necessary changes to the current bilingual elementary model operated by Seattle Public Schools. We aim to help the district implement an immersive model with enhanced program design for maximized learning beyond just language acquisition, as we believe bilingual education offers a community that fosters cultural wealth and understanding. We currently operate with a three student group and are working closely with UW College of Education faculty to progress as a research project and gain partnerships and recognition. On top of this we partner with curriculum developers with a commitment to the Seattle community.
